The velvet is quieter than it looks. Half turtleneck, long sleeve, the kind of top that just holds its shape against cold air without making a statement about it.

Slim enough to tuck. Dark enough to not matter.

Something about the way the lace trim sits at the edge of the sleeve. Not precious. Just there. The embroidery is small, the v-neck loose enough that it reads easy on the street.

I kept coming back to it. That's really all there is to say.

Brown plaid, zip collar, wide leg pants. The kind of set that looks considered without having been considered at all. It photographs dark and structured but wears like something you'd grab half-asleep.

Two pieces. One decision.
