The rhinestone chain detail on this one caught the light before I even tried it on. Transparent mesh, pearl trim, the kind of dress that belongs in a room that's slightly too warm.

Heavy industry is the phrase in the title and it fits. The girdle waist does something structural that feels considered rather than forced. Color-saturated, layered, the kind of suit that doesn't need anything else in the room.

Two pieces. One idea.

Wide leg, drawstring, shirring at the waist. Something about the way these sit - relaxed without being careless. The denim is a soft mid-wash and the A-line cut does more than it looks like it should.

I kept coming back to it.

Emerald green, vertical sequin stripe, thigh split that starts higher than expected. The train is the part I didn't anticipate - it changes how you move in it, which is either nothing or everything.
