four scents that felt like something I put on and didn't question

Rose and incense is a pairing that shouldn't be subtle. This one is. There's something about the sandalwood underneath that keeps the whole thing from becoming a statement.

It just stays.

Wore it on a day I needed to feel settled and didn't expect a perfume to do that. And yet.

Floral gourmand is a category that can tip sweet too fast. This one holds the line between hibiscus and vanilla in a way that felt almost deliberate. Like someone drew a boundary and it held.

I put it on before the afternoon went anywhere and it carried without asking for attention.

Dark and woody without being heavy - which is either nothing or everything, depending on the day. There's a coolness to the opening that settles into something warmer. Mysterious is a word people use too easily but I understand why it's here.

Night out or just a night in. Still works.

Warm and oriental but not suffocating. The woody base keeps it from going too soft. I reached for this one on a morning that hadn't decided what it was yet.
