four scents that felt like something I reached for before I had a reason

Vanilla and amber but nothing about it feels like a dessert or a candle. It's warmer than that, more like something left on a sweater after a long day outside.

Wore it without thinking.

Four small bottles that fit inside the front pocket of a bag I barely use. I don't know. maybe that's why I kept reaching for them, the smallness made it feel like less of a commitment.

Fruity and floral and vanilla moving through each one. Not layered, just present.

Wood and sweet and something quietly oriental underneath all of it. The kind of scent that doesn't peak, it just stays level for hours, which is either nothing or everything depending on the day.

I keep leaving it near the door.

Tropical was the word I resisted. But it's soft enough that the fruit doesn't read loud - it reads warm, like musk pulling everything back before it goes too far.
