four scents that felt like something settling, not starting

Vanilla and coffee and something that reads like warm milk left on a low flame. It doesn't perform sweetness, it just is it.

soft. heavy. already.

Something about the sandalwood in this one - it doesn't smell like a candle. It smells like the room after the candle. There's cedar underneath and something almost smoky that I kept coming back to it without a reason I could name.

Worn it three times this week. Not tracking it anymore.

Citrus at the top and then it goes somewhere quieter. Woody but not heavy. Fresh but not cold. The kind of scent that reads as clean without trying to smell clean.

I put it on before a walk once and didn't think about it again until someone leaned past me and paused.

A vanilla set, which could go too sweet, which is the risk. It doesn't. It's warm in the way skin is warm, not in the way dessert is warm.

It's been a few weeks now and I'm still reaching for the small one on mornings when I don't want to make a decision about who I am yet
