Black Phantom is the one you reach for when the evening has already decided what it wants to be. Rum and dark sugar and something almost smoky underneath, like the inside of a glass left on a counter too long.

Rich. Slow. Inevitable.

Amouage does something strange with Interlude 53 Reflection. It starts sharp, almost resinous, then softens into something that feels less like a perfume and more like a room you remember. Woody and incense-edged and strangely still.

Something about this one felt different the first time I held it close.

This one leans into its origin without apology. Oriental and deep, amber threaded through a woody base that feels warmer than expected, warmer than most. It settles into skin instead of sitting on top of it.

I wore it on a night when I needed the scent to do some of the work.

Passage d'Enfer in spirit, smoky and spiced and slightly ecclesiastical, which is either nothing or everything depending on the day. It has a sharpness early on that blurs into something much softer by midday.

Wore it twice before I decided I wasn't done with it
