something about this one felt different.

warm. a little dark. the kind of oriental that doesn't announce itself but is somehow already in the room when you arrive. I wore it on a Tuesday when nothing was happening and it made the nothing feel deliberate.

spicy and woody and just barely floral. which is either nothing or everything.

oud done without apology. musk and patchouli underneath and something heavy that settles right at the base of the throat. it's a lot, until it isn't.

stayed on my skin hours past when I expected it to. I don't know. maybe that's the point.

this one caught me off guard. aquatic but not cold - lemon and orange near the surface and something clean underneath that reads like open air. wore it before going anywhere and felt like I'd already been somewhere.

light enough to layer. present enough to matter.

woody oriental that pulls toward lilac and stays there for a while before going deeper. luxury without the performance of luxury. I put it on before a long evening and it changed the texture of the whole thing somehow.
